Abrar Tarig, Human Resources and Administration Committee Member

Abrar Tarig is a Sudanese women's rights advocate, whose passion for women's empowerment drives her to engage in projects that uplift and support women in various spheres of life. She seeks to break down barriers through advocacy, education, and collaboration and create opportunities for women to thrive and lead within their communities. She chose to work with Climate Sirens because it views climate change through the lens of its impact on vulnerable communities. By approaching this critical issue from a decolonial perspective, centering women and highlighting the interconnectedness of environmental issues and social injustices, particularly in the SWANA region where indigenous peoples and refugees are disproportionately affected.
