Bouchra Tafrata, Policy Committee Member

Bouchra Tafrata is an Amazigh researcher, writer, and creative researching economies of extractivism and green transition, techno-futurities, and Indigenous Science. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and weaves diverse transnational experiences and knowledge bridging policy and academia in the realms of climate governance, green economy, gender, cities, and post-carbon pathways. She authored several academic articles and essays that explore environmental (in)justice, southern feminism(s), geographies of extraction, post-development, and the role of Indigenous Knowledge in combating climate change. Additionally, she is the host/producer of various podcasts, including In Praise of the Margin - a space where she facilitates conversations with well-established writers and scholars on the politics of knowledge and marginality.
